I used to see him in Franche Club in Kidderminster, in the 1980's socialising, and occasionly doing a bit of singing, he used to live in Wolverley, about 2 mile from me.

Noddy Holder was a roadie for Band of Joy!!

That's what it says on Wiki wotsit!! Don't think so!!
A fella i grew up with, Micky Strode from Fairway Road Cakemore Estate, was guitarist with them.
If i recall , Robert Plant in the 60's was always trying to be "noticed". He finally succeeded. Some say he's the greatest Rock Singer ever.Me ? I think... well who cares what i think. The guy's a milionaire and vice chaiman of Wolverhampton Wanderers!!

Yep, if memory serves it's called the Lock. Not very big but was okay when we used to go, don't ever recall seeing Robert Plant though (question is would I have recognised him if I had!),

No - I wouldn't know him either - my ex knew him quite well from his days on the "circuit", but I never had the pleasure - did meet Roy Wood though, we bumped into him one day in a cafe in Stourbridge - nice bloke.
Anyway - back to the pub - yes it is the Lock, great food and lovely to sit outside in the summer talking to the folks coming through the lock. Met a couple from America who came over here every couple of years for a few weeks on the canals. Never tried it myself but would love " a go". Maybe add it to my bucket list for when I properly retire.

Yes, I'm sure he does link in. I vaguely remember some of us looking into it a long, long time ago.
