Hi,

I am hoping someone can work their magic and find Elizabeth Leopard for me, in 1841 she is in the house of Richard Jewkes Southalls lane Dudley along with Henry Guest and William. The Henry Guest I think is the one I posted about yesterday and William is William Henry their son. I can't find any evidence of their marriage maybe they didn't. Henry is living with an Elizabeth as his wife in later census, but I can't find anything about her parents or where she came from. This all links to Mary Emma Guest my great great grandmother who I believe was their daughter, I am still looking for her birth certificate I have sent for several from Dudley but with no success.
My main quest at the moment is to find Elizabeth Leopard, I hope someone can help.

Hi Nessa, is this Henry who Married Elizabeth; the son of Henry Guest and Charlotte Cooper? If so, do you have any idea as to when he Married an Elizabeth? There is one to an Elizabeth Spittle St Martin's B'ham 31.8.1846.

Hi linell,

That is the same but I don't have any further information other than her name. That is why I was hoping to find Mary Emma's birth certificate to see if it had the mothers name.

I found the 1841 entry, it doesn't look as though Henry is Married to Elizabeth Leopard, it looks as though they are Servants in the Jewkes Household:-

1841 Southalls Lane Dudley
Richard Jewkes abt 1776 Worcestershire, England Dudley, Worcestershire Whitesmith
Mary Jewkes abt 1786 Dudley, Worcestershire
Sarah Jewkes abt 1816 Worcestershire, England Dudley, Worcestershire
Elizabeth Jewkes abt 1821 Worcestershire, England Dudley, Worcestershire
Stephen Jewkes abt 1826 Worcestershire, England Dudley, Worcestershire Whitesmith
Henry Guest abt 1816 Worcestershire, England Dudley, Worcestershire Ag Lab
William Guest abt 1834 Worcestershire, England Dudley, Worcestershire
Elizabeth Leopard abt 1806 Worcestershire, England Dudley, Worcestershire (couldn't read this ?ship)

i have a letter from a firm of genealogists from 1976 to my father in which they state that Elizabeth Leopard was the mother of William Henry Leopard who later changed his name to Guest and the father could have been Henry Guest which the ages link to the 1841 census, as for Mary Emma Guest I did find the christening record at the archives but it only gave the date and her fathers name Henry Guest and the address as Netherton Hall.

Shouldn't there be a Number on the Christening Record NL which ties in with the Number on a Birth Cert :?:
