Hello,
I've just joined this forum today, as I've done a little bit of work trying to find my fiance's father... but dont know where to go next!

His mother (Susan Davies) is deceased. She was a groom and my fiances biological father was also a groom. The two of them met and had a one night stand at a horse show (so we are told). Susan told James (my fiance) that his father is named Tony (specific spelling was not specified) and that he lived (at the time?) in Lyme Regis, Dorset.

I have requested a copy of James' original birth certificate - which I have received and Susan did not name a father on it - it is blank!
James was born on 10/03/1971 and later adopted by his step-father and his name changed from ***** (on original birth cert) to **** (his fathers surname).

There is also a rumour that James believed he heard, that his biological father, could have been a cousin of his step-fathers! I guess that would be easily traced? But new to this - so not sure how to go about it!
Obviously, I have no birth date of Tony **** nor actual address, and then there is the issue of the spelling... I guess it could be Anthony or Tony *****etc...!

We are unsure if Susan ever saw Tony again... or if she ever let him know that James was to be expected or had been born at all.

Any help greatly appreciated... but I know there really isnt a lot of info to go on. I have however been inspired by watching heirhunter of a morning... and they sometimes find people with little information, so I guess it is possible!

Thanks in advance! :?: :?:

Sorry eventer07 had to edit the post to remove tony surname as this could cause legal isuse, Peterd Moderator. If anyone wants to help you privatly then you can contact each other by PM and email

Because of privacy laws we can't help with potentially living relatives in an open forum.

I have been chasing down my father in laws biological parents for a while so know some of the tricks.

P.M. me with details and I will se if I can assist.
