I have the wedding cert for Elijah Grainger:

in the church of pensnett, sept 23, 1894 to:
jane Jones, 21, spinster, Chapel street Pensnett. Father: Matthew Jones, miner

witnesses: Annie Gould Grainger and William Joseph Shaw.

freebmd I can find marriage for Elijah and Jane.

However. The nearest Jane I can find, unless I've missed something, whose father is Matthew and comes from kingswinford. Is Priscilla Jane??
Have looked through previous census to see if I can find a Jane with a Matthew

So, my question is, can any of you find Jane please??

Or does it look like Jane is in fact Priscilla?? (in which case, elijah and priscilla are related)

I cant see any other possible. Shame it was a name as witness on her side!
Any certificates of the children, does that say Jane or Priscilla?

I think connect and add *note* and explain as Jane rather than Priscilla.
