Hi Everyone,
Just joining in after finding this forum at the BCC site.
I may be a newbie to this forum but not to genealogy. I've been researching my ancestry for about 35 years and now that I have just remarried I'm also researching my new husband's family history, so far no Black Country ancestors yet.
I'm mainly connected to the Shakespeare's of Brierly Hill/Kingswinford/Rowley Regis and discovered this ancestry after finding out that my 4th great grandfather Samuel TAYLOR married Sarah SHAKESPEARE in 1821 in Kingswinford. Sarah's parents were my 5th great grandparents Thomas SHAKESPEARE and Ann PARGETER.
I was sent a gedcom by Steve Pearson that took me back to my 12th great grandparents, Edward SHAKESPEARE and Ann ? I received this years ago but have only just got around to actually checking out who I'm directly related to and now I'm trying to find out more information on my female direct ancestors.
I'm looking forward to being a part of this forum and look forward to getting to know you.
Take care
Jayne
