If you go straight from 1851 to 1881 census Mary's age is about right -- those are the ones when she is with her mother who would have known -- she could have been creative with the others --particularly as she appears to be older than her husband anyway and maybe didn't want him to know how much older!

Only Thomas I can see with John -- John is a Roller not a farmer -- Sedgely isn't bad for the area though!
