My Granddad Frank Williams was in the first world war but i have no idea of which regiment. He was a Blackheath lad would he have been in The Rowley Regis Regiment?
Theres a photo of him on BCC in his uniform would that help to determine which regiment he was in?

hi rob,
the old hill recruiting office opened in 12th oct 1914 and was closed on 31st of march 1916, he might have been a bit young to enlist there?

Nice one Pete, although you can't enlarge the badge, you've done a good job there

I've added it alongside the original for now until Rob sees it
