Hello...

Stuck with this one. I have a Richard Gould who appears in both 71 and 81 as son of Ann Gould:

I can find only one entry for a Richard Gould Birth on BMD's nothing on IGI in 63

Reluctant to add as those births could be:
This fellow with father Henry

any suggestions :?

If he is on the Census kdp, then I would add him, not everyone is listed on Free BMD, that list is not complete and some births were never registered, didn't become law until 1872. I don't see a problem if he is on the Census twice as son :?: We always add births as 'Abt' anyway as in most cases we don't know exactly when Ancestors were born. HTH from Linell.

yes jimmy,

Thats them. And its me that added them to BCC

I havent added Richard yet, as although he appears on census twice, I can only find 1 birth in 63 or abouts for a Richard Gould. However there is a Richard Gould born 63 already on BCC, but with a father Henry. So he cant be mine.
ie 2 Richards born 63, but only one Richard on BMDs.

Thanks Lin, I will add him then and flag to find birth

Just add in Richard as an about date that will do fine
and place of birth

you would need a birth certif to be really sure.
No need to send for that for BCC just put about date
