ARC - Disk doesnt work

Hi again
I bought the WDYTYA mag to get the West Midlands Ancestors disk and now I found the disk won't work, I can't access any records, only the initial images. Downloaded ADOBE Reader and it still won't work. The reason I wanted it was I desperately want to see if John James and his wife, Sarah are in the Staffordshire and Worcestershire 1835 as I can't get back any further than 1841 for this family. I wondered if someone had the disk could they have a quick look for me please?

What exactly are you looking for mini - we have put them on BCC - back to Sarah's birth in 1828. I couldn't find any of them in 1841 - probably need to search a bit more.

Thanks Linell, the images are just of various places, I can't get any text at all.
The information I have is :
1841 Census: Romsley HO 107/923/7 Pages 5 (second section) - 13
Shropshire > Hales-Owen > Halesowen > District 10a
Census carried out on the night of 6 June 1841
Place Name Age Profession, trade, employ- Born in
ment, or independent means Same County
Place Name Age Profession, trade, employ- Born in Same County
Romsley Hill
John James 50 Ag Lab YSarah James 50 Y
Richard James 9 Y
William James 6 Y
Maria James 3 Y
Mary Hardeman 70 Y
Basically I'm trying to find whose John's parents were - could Mary Hardeman be his mother, re-married, as there was a John James christened on 23 November 1794 but only his mother's name was stated - Mary James. The ages all tie in but I don't know how to go about determining whether that is the correct John or not, as there were two or three others born during the few years around 1794. I thought the Worcestershire 1835 information might throw a little more light on where he was born, etc but of course, I can't access this info at all.

Because Richard, William and Maria were John James junior's(christened St Kenelms 1826) siblings. Sarah Green was John junior's wife and John James senior was also married to a Sarah but I don't know her christian name. All of the farmer's children were christened at St Kenelms, Romsley, Halesowen, during a period of about 1817 to 1839.

So where is this JOhn James jnr in 1841
1851 : Bilston, Tipton, Staffs
John James, Head, 25, Forge Labourer, Born in Worcestershire
Sarah James, Wife, 23, Born in Staffordshire
Mary A James, Daur, 1, Born in Tipton

I know it's the right family because my gran was Alice James. John James jnr was her father and so on. Her father, John was christened at St Kenelms as below, I have the Birth Certificate for Alice, which states her mother was Sarah Green from Clent. I don't know where young John was in 1841, he was probably working as he would have been at least fifteen by then. All his brothers and sisters were christened at St Kenelms.

Have you looked this up to see if on bapt he is a farmer
and then looked up those other ones richard and maria was it
to see if fathers occup same
even then it doesnt prove it is same one
to me you can't be sure that that John James that marries Sarah Green
is the son of that one in Romsley
this looks more likely
