This is a spin off from another thread. Started a new thread because the other was rather long so not to confuse.
Theres a couple of Boswell children that are orphaned and or adopted it would be good to find where they fit in.

To clarify things a little:

Julia Boswell parents were John Boswell and Mary nee Johnson.

Noah was Julia brother.

Correct census for Arthur Boswell. I would be grateful for marriage details?

You need to find the marriage on bmsgh or IGI and then post in the look ups section
on a particular thread or it doesnt get added
it is the thread called dudley and smethwick archives pls post here
I will then add it
but.....you need to read the info notes in that section
as it is only if and when someone goes to the archives and if they want or have time

Julia is aged 4 in 1871 and Mother is Maria.

Let me double check my info.

I think that John Boswell might of remarried a Maria, i'll check.

John Boswell married Mary Johnson c1818

23 March 1842 - In Church of England. St. Peter's Church (Aston, Warwickshire)

Her father is John Johnson.

I am not sure about Maria.

I think that Mary Johnson died sometime around 1855 and then John Boswell might have remarried Maria between 1855-1861.

I have not found a marriage certificate yet, i will let you know.

John Boswell died in 1870. that is why Maria is widow on 1871 census.

Can't seem to find her in 1881 or 1891 census.

Do you have the parsish record for the marriage to Mary?

Yes that marriage is correct, i do have the marriage certificate.

I've looked for quite a while for the marriage of John Boswell to a Maria.

On the census it has her down as being born in 1839, so in 1873 she would of been abt 34 the right age for the death record that you have put. This is possibly why she was not on the 1881 census or later.
