Just browsing thro' a few boards and found this one.
My family tree links into this one.

Two of Charles HIPKISS' daughters married one of the KETTLE clan

In 1907 George KETTLE (born 1885) married Alice HIPKISS.
I think he then emigrated to U.S. in 1911 and Alice died in 1912

Then he married her sister Mary Eliza HIPKISS in 1913 in Utah.
It looks as though she emigrated in 1908

They had 4 children
George H KETTLE 1915-
Leroy Albert KETTLE 1916-1995
Wallace C KETTLE 1920-
Clarence M KETTLE 1922-

A relative of mine has been doing research on this branch of the family... she passed the info. onto me. I am still trying to work out this part of my tree so haven't done any more on it.

I don't have the actual marriage certificate etc... I will check with the relative who gave me the info... to see if she ordered a copy.. otherwise I will have to order one to verify

I will add it to the look up list
not sure when someone is going ...but you never know

Contacted the relative who originally gave me the info.... she got it from census data and some info. from contact with Kettles in Utah.
Think I will send up for copy certificate..

So where did RF get this info. from?...is there a way you can look up info. like this without ordering certificates then?

What is the procedure for adding more Kettles etc into the BC tree ?

He kindly went to the archives at smethwick and looked up marriage

any church ceremony is at archives
ie
bapt
burial
marriage

the marriage is the same info ....the original at archives that you order via
regis offices or GRO

we have a list in the look up offers
but we need day month year
or
that info on the west mids site
the Bmsgh site
that gives year church and the last number is the entry no in PR

if you want more info send me an email and I will explain further
but
it is only if and when anyone goes and has time

...or if its at dudley you can send them a letter, reference number as shown, fee and sae, and they'll post you a photocopy of the original wedding cert....
