Is anyone able to post any old photographs of Ablewell St, Walsall, or alternatively any modern pictures of the listed buildings in that street which are 65, 66, 67, 69 and 70? My family, the Garners, lived in Ablewell St in 1841 and it would be wonderful to know what the area looked like.
Sadly, I am unable to visit Walsall itself or a Staffordshire library.

Hi Bgreen unfortunaltely it depends on the copyright restrictions. So I believe it is 75 yrs after the photographer dies. But then it depends who has the copyright....complicated area.
But I am sure people could always pm you with any information.
Of course any photos outside of copyright restriction or indeed any photos that they have taken themselves would be ok.

but click on this and you will get loads of images of that street from Walsall archives
http://www.blackcountryhistory.org.uk/result-list.aspxok you have to go to search put in ablewell and click images and see how many you get !
some great ones there!

Thanks for your suggestion, Northern Lass. I will try to access that site tommorow as this evening it kept coming up with "runtime errors".
