Could these two be the same Benjamin, both have father's called Joseph who were Mason's

There is a Benjamin Basterfield born in Borough and Baptised at St John's, Halesowen on the 12th September 1824.

His parents were Joseph Basterfield and Rebecca Powell.

According to several public trees on Ancestry, they are the parents of the Benjamin who married Elizabeth Cooksey.

No real supporting evidence for that and since none of the trees even mention Benjamin's baptism I doubt they are well researched.

As a matter of fact, some of them claim this but have Mary as the mother in the census they attach.

Duh!

Rebecca died in 1850 and I have notbeen able to find her in the 1841 census.

Ok thanks Mark, one of those 'nobody really has a clue' so will leave it as it is, cheers from Lin.

What does that bapt say for Benjamin in 1824 should have occup and abode

we dont really know that Benjamin is the son here as no relationships on 1821
any bapt for him with mother Mary
or any of their kids
