Find My Past proudly advertise their two new records collections.
2 Million Derbyshire Parish Records.
9 Million records from the Society Of Genealogists.
What they fail to tell you is that they are indexes only, not full records.
The Derbyshire records are so badly indexed you have idea if you have found your relative.
Hand over the money to the historical society if you want to find out!
Same with any records that may be your relative in the SoG records.
They charge a MINIMUM of 10 quid to send you the record!!!
I am sick and tired of pay sites simply indexing other pay sites.
When they make the seach engine deliberatly vague that really gets my blood boiling.
Compare this trend to a good site like The Genealogist who have the original records online for just about all of their indexes.
