Looking for the parents of Benjamin Hingley b abt 1795 as on BCC which says possible baptism 21 Jun 1795.

I have found a Benjamin Hingley on Family search which gives a christening date of 21 Jul 1795. His parents were Benjamin b abt 1761 and Elizabeth b abt 1765. Says they had six children including two named Benjamin one born and died within a few months in 1794. Then another Benjamin the next year in 1795. Says they were all born Dudley, Worcestershire.

Am I on the right track?

They are the parents of Benjamin Hingly mentioned in the possible baptism.

Trouble is, we have no proof that is the father of Thomas, James and Nancy.

as Mark says we don't know if that is our Benjamin...it is only a possible.

maybe see if you can find him as a witness on any sibs for kids of Benj and Eliz
you may get lucky and have Benj and fanny as wits
not that that would guarantee he is bro
