I am seeking any information on the ancestors of James Worthington and his wife Harriet (formerly Atkins).
They were both born around 1844-1845 and had seven children that I know of. The children's names are Richard, Sarah, James, William, Harriet, Flora (Florence) and Thomas.
I believe they were from around the Birmingham area.

If you know the church they were married in you can ask for a lookup on the Birmingham History Forum.
http://forum.birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum.phpIt is also worth doing a search of their forums. I found plenty of information on some Brummie families in my tree.

Jimmy, it seems Sarah Atkins had Harriet before she married but doesn't indicate that Joseph Rhodes was the father. Is it possible to find out the father of Harriet?

Its very unlikely unless it is mentioned on the birth cert.

The only birth reg that fits this is,
Births Sep 1844.
Atkins Harriett. Coventry. 16. 372.
Or there is a later one,
Births Jun 1845.
ATKINS Harriett. Birmingham. 16. 223.

Don't forget Tinkerbell this is only a possible for Harriet. You would need her marriage cert.

I now have a copy of this marriage certificate and it gives Harriet's father as Joseph Rhodes but underneath that name it says (rep d). An abbreviation for represented? Anyone shed some light on the meaning of this please?
Joseph Rhodes is also listed as a witness along with Elizabeth Rhodes who I believe could be the mother of Joseph.
