Hi, my line in the area is for Mary Hodgets, she was born 1835 West Bromwich. I have her first marriage cert: here are the details

June 28, 1856. James Dainty age 18 bachelor, minor, Rounds Green father Thomas Dainty also a minor. Mary Hodgetts age 19 Spinster, Rounds Green; father William Hodgetts, a nailer.

After the death of James she remarried; Mary re-married Richard Band 25 July 1858 Saint Thomas Dudley Worcester, England. Richard Band married Mary Dainty OR SIVETER at saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester, England July 1858.

She names her real father in the second marriage William Siviter. So this is where I think I will join the Siviter line. From census records I have found her mother living with William Siviter. I believe that William's first marriage was to Sarah Hacket, they married in 1823. In Halesowen, Worcester, England. .

Sarah must have died, he was living with Mary's mother in 1841, she was said to be his wife but they never married.

In 1851 Her mother was named as Mary Hodgetts, she was said to be a lodger, living with William Siviter. It seems that her daughter Mary was the only child they had together.

I have found the following records that seem to fit with what I have.

I think this is the birth of Mary Hodgetts

In 1861 William Siviter was still living with Mary. Their daughter Mary and her second husband Richard Band were also living with them, she had 2 of her children with her, Sarah Dainty 1857 and Elizabeth Dainty 1858, they were all classed as boarders.

My connection with the line is through Mary's first husband James Dainty.

I have looked on Tribal pages where I have a tree and it came up with a lot of the same names as I have (Siviter) I am hoping to make contact with anyone who has the same line.

Hi Kathy, this family is all on BCC, well some of them are, I have Samuel born 1807 Married Leah Grove 25.12.1827 St Thomas Dudley, their son William born 1839 Married a neighbour Phoebe Westwood about 1857 at Holy Trinity Ambelcote. The family all lived at Slack Hillock/Waterfall Bridge Old Hill, they are on the Connections site, with plenty of connections. Best Wishes from linell.

Put quite a bit of that on not filled in the kids for William and Mary and William and Sarah.
