Has anyone found it the usual practice to be entered twice
on the census:
Example:
1851 High St. Old Swinford.
Jesse WESTON hd. 26 Butcher b. Amblecote
Alfred WESTON partner 24 Butcher b. Amblecote.

1851 The Wharf, Amblecote.
Elizabeth Weston hd.wid. Wharfingers wife b. Stainton
Thomas E.Weston son 28 Wharfinger
JESSE E.WESTON son 27 Butcher
ALFRED WESTON son 24 Butcher
Jane Weston dau. 19
William Weston son 15
All others born Amblecote.

I suppose it's always possible that Elizabeth Weston thourght they would be staying there that night, but they changed their plans. Do you know if they had their shop on the High Street?

I've found it happening, especially with children, when they live in one place and have stayed overnight with relatives
