Name of the Brickworks?

Does anyone know the name of the West Bromwich brickworks bordered by Gads Lane & Hambletts Rd in the 1890s? Members of my family lived in nearby. George William Saunders was a brick burner in 1896 & lived at 108 Wood Lane, having moved from Bull Lane in 1896. Another family member, also a brick maker, lived in Milward St. I am guessing that the the clay pit was their place of work & the reason for living in that area.
As brickmaking was at a peak in the 1890s and there were a number of WB brickworks the information that I need would be likely to be found in a directory. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Your local library may have some information, in the local histories department.

Thank you Peterd & Ellie, for your suggestions. My local library is not local to Staffordshire so would not carry anything on West Bromwich brickworks in the 1890s. The site you mentioned, Peterd, has absorbed a lot of my time but to no avail.

Anyone got the map of 1901 West brom with this road on?
West Bromwich brickworks bordered by Gads Lane & Hambletts Rd in the 1890sIt may have the actual name of the brickworks on?
Failing that if that is the name of the road and that is the year I can ask at the Sandwell archives.
So bg can you confirm what I am looking for street wise and the year please

Just had a look at that directory bgreen and there is this one...
Joseph Hamblett ( blue) West Bromwich.

It was Hamblet's Blue Brick Works and was opposite Brandon Colliery.The canal to Birmingham divided the two.

Thank you so much, Mallosa & Northern Lass. I am very, very appreciative of your problem solving. I would not have though of searching the National Archives for information on this particular topic. I now know where members of my family are likely to have worked and it helps to build up the picture. This is wonderfull.

Thank you very much indeed, Northern Lass & Mallosa for your kind suggestions. As I am still learning about Staffordshire resources the link was very helpfull. I have today emailed a request to Sandwell .
The family members who worked in the brick & tile industry have been much less visible than those who had their own businesses and it is wonderfull to be able to fill in some detail. I would never have been satisfied with just a list of names & dates and the extra information creates an extra facet.
