40 Degrees for New Years Eve

I was going to go into Melbourne to see the fireworks but you have to sit out in the sun for hours to get a good spot.
25 to 30 degrees...not a problem.
40 degrees...no way!
Adelaide is going to have 43 degrees.
They are predicting the hottest January for decades after the wettest December on record.
So we can expect a really bad fire season due to all the plant and grass growth in December that will dry out in January.
