I hope every one is /has been enjoying themselves!
In Denmark we celebrate on Christmas Eve, so the "big day" is over here.

We spent it at my brother in laws, with the goose done on the bbq - it was good, never had goose before, probably wont be the last time! Most of the trimmings were dome on the bbq too, including caramel potatoes, and red cabbage with cinnamon.

We danced round the tree and some sang carols (can't sing so I didn't subject the family to that!!! )
Then it was time for the presents, only two small kids - they'd already had their presents from their parentsand the rest of their family at home, so I think they were a little dissapointed that there weren't more for them.

Anyway a continued Happy Christmas, and I hope that turkey tastes good!
(I'm at work tonight, so we'll have turkey and Christmas pudding tomorrow)!

I'm going to my daughter's for Christmas Dinner and presents - we open ours after Christmas pudding.

The kids have half their presents in the morning and then half this afternoon. Had a phone call at 6.30 from my 9 year old granddaughter just to ask if I would like to go up to see them opening presents and eating Roses chocolates, I declined that offer and said I'd see them at about 11.00.

Had some photos from my niece and her family on the beach in Oz with the new jetski toy, champagne and jelly tots, saying "Pheweeeey the mercury just hit 41 in Perth". Lovely - hopefully I can get there in the next couple of months.

Hope everyone has a lovely day today. Snow on the floor, but the sun is shining in Warley.

Meant the ground - and it's still shining ....

You sound to have had a lovely christmas party SnoopySu, was the party and BBQ outside well if it was all the dancing would keep you warm.

We are having a grim time without water.

Only the BBQ was outside, when we arrived my brother in law and nephew were outside in t-shirts and it was about minus 5!
The food tasted great, it wont be the last time the Christmas dinner is done on the BBQ in that part of the family. We're hoasting in two years time, so who knows! Hope you get the water back on soon Annie!

I bet there are loads who put recurrent jelly or cranberry sauce in - sugar in those too!

Christmas tree came down today, and I've just eaten the last mince pie - so I suppose that's it for another year! Hope it's a good one for everyone here

I it the custom in Denmark to take Christmas stuff down before the New Year.

No, it's mostly twelth night at the latest - but they tend not to put the tree up until just before Christams. I'm a bit earlier putting it up, and as we're having guests tomorrow night, I prefer to take it down before New Year.
I'm a bit fussy when it comes to my Christmas decorations, I like to pack them away with care, that way they don't get damaged and it's all the more fun to pack them upnext Christmas (my parents tend to just throw them in a box and dump them in the loft).
