Hi there,

I'm Beth, a mother, a housewife, a part-time student and an enthusiastic researcher of my family history.

I'm fascinated by anything oldy-worldy. How they lived, how they ate, everything. My fascination marries perfectly with my obsession for period dramas.

I've been researching my family history since Mar 2007 on and off because, quite frankly, life has gotten in the way!

I so far have found many many many names and many many many brick walls, the most recent of which was caused by 'Black Country Connections' and therefore led me here..
I have an auntie researching the family history too but I refuse to 'go' on what she has in her family tree because I have to verify all the facts myself which as you already know is time consuming and ends up costly. I have already noticed many discrepancies with the family tree she has made.

My main surname interests are: BRAIN, BRUCE, CLARK, EVANS, FURNACE, GARDNER, HAYNES, HODGES, HUGHES, KNOWLES, MULLET??, NEWMAN, REDLEY, WEAVER
My main areas of interest are: Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Monmouthshire

I'll be posting in Brick Walls shortly with the info of the brick wall I have hit head on (indirectly caused by BCC )

Did you contact us via the BCC site?
if so send me a pm so I can dig out your details

the forum and BCC are 2 different websites
but compliment each other.............

you are correct to check and verify your research
as it is ok looking at others research but you need to dble check yourself.

I didn't contact via the BCC site as I read that it was taking a break!

I guessed they were 2 different websites but thought I'd join up here after a quick search of the BC board proved I probably need you all!

I have posted in the Black Country board ... as I can't really call it a 6ft brick wall yet... just a few bricks off the ground.
