I have recently joined the forum, and I have had a look at the bcc site. Matilda WILLETTS (b 1840) was my GtGt Grandmother. She married Thomas HACKETT, and one of their children, John HACKETT (b 1872) was my Gt Grandfather. So, I have information and certificates regarding that line of the family, and also about John's brother Joseph. I also have information regarding Thomas's ancestors.

I wonder if someone reading this has further information about them that we can share. I have often wondered whether there are photos of Matilda or Thomas? I have a photo of John HACKETT, taken in 1898, and a mysterious 'calling card' photo of an unidentified man. I suspect that he may be a Hackett, because the photo was among my late Grandfather's collection. Matilda and Thomas must have a fair number of descendants!

Regards

Peter

Hi Peter we have your family on the Black Country Connections Site here:-

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... &ver=26275

Your Gt Grandfather John Hackett 1872, has not been followed up, perhaps you could add your information on here and it can be added to BCC.

Linell.

OK, I'll gather all the information together first (census references etc). Bare with me, the last few evenings have been busy. I may PM the info to you Northern Lass, to avoid messing up the tree. One thing that I've struggled with is the date of John Hackett's death. I suspect 1947, but have absolutely nothing to back that up.
