Invisible in 1911

Post by gardener »

Can anyone see possibles for these two?

Florence Evelyn Clare born Chesterfield district Dec qtr 1906

and

Jane Ann Clare born Chesterfield district Sep qtr 1909

I think Jane Ann died in 1918, and Florence went on to marry so they should both be in the census but blowed if I can see them!
It might say something other than Chesterfield for birthplace I suppose but should be DErbyshire at least.

Thanks if anyone has any idea :-)

Well, that is the snag Jo. The father might be Charles who was a platelayer on his marriage certificate, and according to that he should be about 43 and his wife Sarah Ann should be 30. Trouble is that he can't be found on any census so far. They had kids for sure after 1911 in Chesterfield area and given that they married there in 1904 I wondered if these girls were theirs too. I also wondered if Charles was actually older than he let on when he married. Or I suppose he could be Irish and so not around pre 1911 but can't see any of them so far
