I have a marriage for David Pearson to Mercy H Beddard - 12 Nov 1882 at St James, Dudley.
David Pearson, 22, Bachelor, Riviter of Dudley, Father Thomas Pearson, Labourer
Mercy Hannah Beddard, Aged 20, Spinster, of Dudley, Father Job Beddard (Dec), Collier
Wit : William Fellows and Maria Pearson

I have added Mercy's family to the BCC tree here : http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =549989932

In 1881, I can only find one David Pearson in the area and he is a shoemaker with Thomas as father, Labourer. In 1891 and later census, David is recorded as a shoe maker, born in Woodside, Dudley.

1881 : 9 High Street, Woodside, Dudley
Thomas Pearson, Head, 42, Labourer, Kingswinford, Staffs
Matilda Pearson, Wife, 40, Dudley, Worcs
David Pearson, Son, 20, Boot and Shoe Maker, Dudley, Worcs
Solomon Pearson, Son, 18, Labourer, Dudley, Worcs
John Pearson, Son, 16, Labourer, Kingswinford, Staffs
Maria Pearson, Daur, 14, Dudley, Worcs
Thomas Pearson, Son, 6, Scholar, Dudley, Worcs
William Pearson, Son, 3, , Dudley, Worcs
Matilda Pearson, Daur, 1, Dudley, Worcs
I have double checked the marriage and David is definately recorded as being a riviter. He does have a sister Maria and Maria is one of the witnesses at the marriage. Now - is it safe for me to add this family to David, even though the occupation is different.

I think if you feel that this is good enough and it looks ok re reasoning to me
add it with a little note

at the end of the day BCC is about individuals research and other folk
need to verify info themselves

I would add it

Thanks for that FS - the Pearson family is the one I found with David - it looks like this is the one even though his occupation is Riviter on his marriage to Hannah. I didn't have the Fellows connection but will have a look at that marriage and another branch can be added.
