If it is the one I have inmy notes then I believe he has the following children with his first wife.
Joseph Homer abt 1838 Rowley
James Homer abt 1841 Cradley Heath
Alfred Homer abt 1843 Cradley Heath
Mary Ann Homer abt 1845 Cradley Heath
With his second wife....
Elizabeth Homer abt 1848 Cradley Heath
Charles Homer abt 1851 Rowley Regis
John Homer abt 1854 Rowley Regis
Ann Homer abt 1857 Rowley Regis
There is a Henry (Harry) Homer who might be a child but more likely a Grand Child born 1866 Rowley Regis.
There is a James Homer born 7th April 1818 with parents James (a Smith) amd mother Mary. They are living in Poplar when James is baptised on the 23rd Nov 1823.
I would say his father is a Journeyman so the birth in Middlesex is not out of the question.

He had a sister, Maria, born 30th June 1821 and Baptised the same day.
Another sister, Rosina Miles(?) born 3rd August 1822 and Baptised the same day.

Tracemaker or Tracer Worked in a draughting office, copying engineering diagrams, using tracing paper. In the days before photocopying, plans and diagrams for mining and manufacturing industries were copied by hand. It required accuracy, patience and a knack for using the pen without producing ink blots
