It's not where I live, (they're a bit naff!)
They changed them about ten years ago in Esbjerg (where the picture's from), and looking from the square up the road, there's a really good view.

I really wanted to get some photographs of our local Carols by Candlelight but forgot my camera...DUH! Took some with my phone though....
Carols By Candleight is an Australian tradition where people gather to sing carols together by the light of, you guessed it, candles!!
It was started by Cornish Miners who would sing carols whilst wearing their helmets with the inbuilt candle holders.
The largest Carols By Candleight, such as the one at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne and Carols In The Domain in Sydney, attract crowds well in excess of 100,000.
Outside of the major cities the largest in Australia is our local one, Knox Carols by Candelight.
This year the crowd was estimated to be between 25,000 and 30,000.
Each year we get there earlier and earlier to get a good position. This year we got there 4 hours before it started and still ended up further back than we would have liked.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f277/markcdodd/DSC_0029.jpg?t=1291465997We have a smaller Carols By Candlelight next weekend in The Basin. I will try and get some better pictures from there.

We had an infamous ginormous green plastic traffic cone in Poole last year that made the national news- hope it hasn't returned- I haven't been into town yet

Thanks for those!
Haven't had many sent in yet this year for our Gallery, is it because the weather's too bad to get out where you are?
