Don't know what the attraction is I never go on them , I can't understand why some let others bully them on there :? , why do they keep going back and reading all the abuse they write.

I'm on Facebook 'cos I have friends travelling the world and it's a good way for all our friends to keep in touch with them and their adventures. If you are reasonably fussy about who you pal up with, you don't get any abusive stuff. If it gets that way, I'll just stop going there - no probs. And I don't publish my whole life there as some people seem to.

Same reason here - I have family everywhere. It's a great way of sharing photos and news with my very extended family, much better than e mail or snail mail. My neice in Oz sent me a video of her three year old riding her first pony the other day, I probably would never have seen that. Another neice is in show biz and I get to see all the photos from the shows - and just keeping in touch with my sisters who live no too far away but I don't see as often as I should. I only add really close friends and family and never get abusive stuff, if you get abuse from people who are supposed to like you, then you're probably better off without them, and I only allow my profile to be viewed by people I know. My son in law is in Cyprus at the moment, helping his dad harvest the olives. He logs on every day to share photos with the kids (he does phone them too).

I use facebook, I think its great being able to keep in touch that way.
We have friends who live abroad, New Zealand, Australia and family down South, great way to stay in touch.

Problems with children or Adults being bullied are no more widespread than any other place.
You make the choice who you want to be friends with and allow what can be seen by others.

Good for all sorts not just messages...
A lot of
oh cant think  doo de dahs?

nah don't fancy it and you would have to put a recent photo up

talking of which I think we should all put avators of us when
we were splendid young things!

Rob can put his one on with his hand in the pocket
not to pay for anything mind
cos he never does!

Mally can put her combed back hair!

and Lin can put her on the boat one !

hot to trot!!

how about it!
