Evelyn Jinks born 1916 in West Bromwich, emigrated to Canada with her parents John Howard Jinks and Alice Elizabeth Stevens on the Megantic. They arrived in Quebec on the 10 Oct 1920. They are down as staying with friends in Ottawa Street, Hamilton.
In 1926 Evelyn, her mother and younger brother Albert came back for a visit, arriving in May and leaving in August. Evelyns mother dies on 23 January 1928. Evelyns father, John travels back to the UK, arriving 15 Dec 1928 in Liverpool, together with children Alice (9 years) and Albert (4 years). They are recorded on seperate parts of the passenger list, but all three are down as British and are travelling to 12 Claypit Lane, West Bromwich (John's mothers address). I can find no trace of Evelyn. My guess is that she died, but I've no proof of this.
