First WW records. COMPLETED!

I'm trying to obtain information about my Great great grandfather. He was a casualty in WW1. I managed to get basic info from ancestry: regiment/rank, that sort of stuff.I need a pointer about where should I be looking for more detailed information? ie where and how he died. Is this kind of info even kept on record?

Have you tried the Commonwealth War Graves site

this is better search from cwgc as you get his no etc
http://www.cwgc.org/search/SearchResult ... &send.y=16if you post that info in the military section below the lads might able to find some more on him, but quite a few of the records where destroyed
