concerning getting copies of archives as opposed to buying certs...Just to clarify, cos i'm a bit thick lol..if i find a bmd index ie

and i write to local library? or go there, I can get a copy for 60p ish that will tell me everything thats on the cert?

it gives you the year church and the entry number
you can then go to the archives and find in the PR the entry no
and print a copy off for about 60p
