Hello from Louisiana USA!

Hello all!
I have been doing genealogy for only a year now on my husbands Italian side, and now I'm searching for my English side. The surnames I'm searching on my maternal side are Garthwaite and Audley. I belive they were around Lincolnshire, but don't have my notes in front of me as I write this. He was Miles Garthwaite and was the Rector of Fulbeck. His wife was Helen or Ellen Audley, daughter of Walter Audley.
On my paternal side, I'm looking for Poole, PettyPool and Rogers. Not sure of the location of my paternal side just yet.
I'm also helping a friend of mine trace his family and actually hoping to find some living relatives for him. My friend lost his mother a few years ago and has no other family other than his 3 boys. He came to the US with his mother when he was about 2, his father died just before he was born. His mother's parents are both gone as well......very sad. I know he will be happy if he can just find that he has some distant cousins out there!
I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions while I get familiar with the various towns and parishes in England!
