Joseph Fellows married (after Banns) a Spinster, Elizabeth Russon * (daughter of Joseph Russon, a Clerk)

* ROSSON on some records

at St. Mary's Church in the Parish of Kingswinford in the County of Staffordshire on Sunday 3 August 1856. (NA Ref. - September Quarter 1856 - Stourbridge 6c 206).
The witnesses to the marriage were Joseph Wood and Joseph's sister Jane Fellows.

Joseph is listed below on the 3 April 1881 Census for Dudley. RG11/ 2879/19/ 31 35 Cross Street

The 1881 Census states that Joseph was born at Can Lane, Staffordshire. Can Lane was a long street of houses (three quarters of a mile) which was East-North-East of Sedgley. This area is adjacent to Ettingshall which was the Fellows family address at the time of Joseph's baptism

Can Lane was the former name of Hurst Road which runs through the northern portion of The Coppice. A c1930 map of Sedgley lists both names for this street.

that joseph fellows i had looked up, which turn out to be the wrong one scouses recons that elizabeth russon is his wife marriage

I can't find anything on Joseph after 1891 Census. I think I have found details of his wife Eliza(beth) in 1901. I would like to find out about the details of Joseph after 1891 if anyone feels industrious.

Any ideas??

Joseph's sister, Jane Fellows married Joseph Wood on Sunday 28 September 1856

at St. Mary's Church in Kingswinford. The witnesses to the marriage were John and Sarah Millington. (September Quarter 1856 Stourbridge 6c 210). Sarah Wood (sister of Joseph) married John Millington on 17 April 1854. Joseph is shown as a Horse nail maker, residing in Pensnett, Kingswinford, son of Joseph (nailer).

Louisa Fellows is my line, she was the first to move to Liverpool in between 1861 census and birth of John (Bracegirdle her son) in 1862.
But John and indeed Peter is more your territory :grin:
