ARC - Worcestershire Marriage

Death certificates say Dinah Caton was 19 and Edward Jones was 40. The latter could be wrong. Both say Worcestershire and the year would be abt 1857.
Desperately seeking parents to keep on the hunt.
Thanks for any help.

I have spent the last hour looking at the images to see if I can see her, but can't see anything.

You have been so helpful. I'm at a loss as to how to find her. So frustrating when you can't go back any further without that marriage. She has used the name Jane and Diana.

Hi

Could you perhaps post the information which you do have? You have a death certificate for each person - can you put in the details? Does the death cert give place of marriage?
And the first child was called Alfred, and born where/when? Do you have his death certificate too?

Hi
Edward Jones death certificate says married at 40yrs Worcestershire, born same.
In N.Z. 30YRS. Died July 1889 age 75yrs. Occupation Blacksmith. As you will work out these ages don't match.

Dinah Jones, maiden name Caton. Born Worcestershire England. Married England age 19yrs. In N.Z. 60YRS. Died September 1917 age 80yrs.

Alfred Jones, going by the age of him on both death certificates he was born 1857. Still working on getting his death certificate.

Dinah, Diana, Jane are the names that have been on different certificates I have and the surname Caton has been Katon and Keaton.

Hope this is moe helpful.

Tricky this one :-)

The entry which Jimmy found looks at least possible doesn't it?
I'm not sure how familiar you are with UK marriage records... Most of them have been transcribed and are on http://www.freebmd.org.uk
Marriages were usually recorded two to a page, so two brides and two grooms would have the same page number. An alphabetical index for each quarter of a year was compiled and this has then been transcribed by volunteers at FreeBMD. In theory therefore there should be 4 names with the page number 6c 648 at Bromsgrove.

Moses Hill
Mary Ann Surman
Edward Jones

all have that page number, which means that a female is missing.

It is possible to see scanned images of the marriage index on Ancestry - I had a quick look at some surnames but did not see anything which could be Dinah/Jane. It would be possible to order the marriage certificate for Edward Jones, and see who he married, but that seems a long shot since there is no guarantee that he is the right person.

I think Alfred's death certificate would be the next step, so good luck finding that :-)
