Is it possible that the Sheldon entry is a Census Error and family are nothing to do with Cooksey family.
Sheldon just does not tie up
Someone on Ancestry has Joseph Cooksey marrying Nancy Sheldon but I think they have just gone on The incorrect 1881 Census and there is no marriage of a Nancy Sheldon to a Joseph Cooksey

The best thing to do is post that marriage for a look up.
