This is doing my head in!

What i know:

Hammond Hall b 1897 married, Jessie Rose Higgs.
Hammond's father was also called Hammond b 1872
His father was Samuel Hall b 1841 Smethwick - Engine Fitter married Elizabeth (Betsy Jackson) - Wedding From IGI

Thats all fine and I have no problems until:

Samuel's (1841) parents were Samuel Hall b 1818 Smethwick and Lettitia Betts b 1819 who married in Saint Martin Birmingham May 7 1837 - The witnesses were Robert Powell and Robert Hall.
Samuel (1818) also remarried a Jane ??? after his first wifes death.

Questions:

1 Who is Robert Hall as a Witness?
2 What is Jane's Surname - Ive ruled out one possibility of Webster.
3 In 1871, there is another Hall family living next door to Samuel and Jane - who are they? - NOW SORTED
4 Also in 1871, there is an Abel Hal living with Samuel (1841) and Jane - who is he? - NOW SORTED
5 There is another Samuel Hall b 1827 Smethwick (from IGI) and I dont know where he fits in - if at all!

If anyone could be of any help, id be grateful
Andrew

You go where the jobs are. Lincolnshire shares many registration districts with Yorkshire.

You wouldn't worry about a Staffordshire lad moving to Yorkshire would you?
