Price of a meal!

Just been out
and won't say where ...but 10.95 for burger and chips
and 1.00 for extra with bacon and cheese
chips in a very very small bowl
and get this.....a jar of...I though jam... :shock: :shock: turned out to be tomato sauce
how posh is that!

what is wrong with a ketchup bottle or bowl of tomato sauce

not impressed!

I always check the menu and the prices before i frequent a place to eat!!
Not that i'm a scrooge mind.I just look after me ha'pennies as you should Janet!!
That's far too much for burger and chips!! You should stop wasting your money my girl!! :o :shock:

And how many people are in there already - if it's quiet then there's usually a reason.

As for the price I'd say it depends on the burger - we were in germany a few weeks ago, and in terms on the quality/price ratio it was way up on the price side (and they didn't take visa, so the men were sent off to find a cash machine which promptly ate one of the cards!!)
Our local restaurant serves both a la carte, set menu's and good café style food - their burger is to die for. Home made burger bun, decent beef, loads of filling bacon, cheese and really good thick cut chips (not those skinny french fries :( ). We pay about £10, service is spot on and doesn't take too long ( and it's within walking distance, so nobody has to stay sober :wink: ). The quality/price ratio is about 1:1 :grin:
