May Be a Silly Qustion?

I tried looking on the internet but still not sure
So before I strat ringing a chimney sweep and making a right plank of myself
Can you have your chimney sweeped clean if you have a gas fire with a flue?
Loads of soot keeps falling out of the chimney and making a mess all over

Yes you can have it swept but it's got to be disconnected first I think.

I wonder how they do that? They would have to take the fire place out wouldnt they too?
Oh think I will have to till after the wedding! And wait to get the carpet cleaned!

They just took our fire out Greangers and left the fireplace in , I suppose it depends on the type of fireplace you have.
