Hello there. My name is Pam and I'm very new to researching my geneology. I live in Victoria, British Columbia in Canada.
I just started looking into our family tree a few months ago.
I've traced back my mothers side to the Rowley Regis, Dudley and Staffordshire area. My maternal grandmother, Ethel TURBERFIELD came to Canada at the age of three. Her parents Edith Alice TIBBETS married William TURBERFIELD in Q4 Dudley in 1900. My maternal grandfather Samuel RUSSELL was born in Canada but his parents Jabel RUSSELL and Mary Elizabeth GROUTAGE were born somewhere in the UK. I may have found a link to W. Bromwich where they were married

Hi there Pam welcome
we have your family on the Black Country Connections tree
and looking at my notes we can connect up Frederick father of Edith to Benjamin
I will run with it on forum just to confirm
We have them here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnectionsand then his father here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =604632370just not connected yet and I just want to confirm a few things
so if you scroll down the main board you will see we have a dedicated Black Country Genealogy section
so do pop a post in there on anything we can help you with.

Yes, these are my relatives Jabel is sometimes spelled with an a in some of my records. I have a pic of their headstone in Yorkton, SK. Canada
As for the TIBBETTS connection. I have found a bit of conflicting info that some claim they immigrated to the US. but the dates are all correct to coordinated with my relatives. My Alice was indeed born in 1880. I have seen her death cert.
Thank you all for this info. I've been stuck on a few things.
This is so much fun!
