I am looking to find information beyond my Gr. Grandparents. The story so far....
Robert BARNSLEY b.1875 m. May 2 1897in Old Hill to Eliza Jane ATTWOOD b. abt 1876. (i have this registry extract)
Children:
William Frederick BARNSLEY b. 30 Jan 1898 Old Hill Rowley Regis (my Grandfather) (i have this registry extract)
Percy BARNSLEY b. abt 1900
Sarah BARNSLEY b. 26 Aug 1902 Glasgow
Harold BARNSLEY b. 12 Sep 1904 Glasgow
Robert BARNSLEY b. 13 dec 1908 Glasgow

Robert and Eliza moved to Glasgow sometime after the birth of Percy and prior to the 1901 census.

I have the extract of Robert's death in Glasgow on 13 Dec 1949. This shows his parents to be William BARNSLEY an Iron Factory Labourer and Sarah WIGGINS both deceased.

The marriage extract shows Robert to be 23 and Eliza 20; their fathers as William BARNSLEY a Chain Maker and Gilbert ATTWOOD no profession noted. It lists their residence at the time of marriage as New Town. It lists their witnesses as William and Elizabeth FARERELL.

So this is Eliza but the other Robert has father Robert not William
so we can't connect up that Robert

need a Robert with father William

Ok. I have removed all living names.

The Eliza link sure looks like it could be mine, has a link to the Robert she married with a father William married to an unknown Sarah.

My Robert's parents, according to his death certificate, were William BARNSLEY and Sarah WIGGINS. So its very possible.

This certainly looks like it could be my William.

I will get a chance to look at it all more closely tomorrow, as it is almost 11pm here so must call it quits for tonight.

I will also try to get a chance to speak to some cousins to see if they can help verify any of this info.

So it could be the one on the 1871 with father Robert
in april or whenever it was

and then married later in the year
I have stuck it for a look up
unless Ruth has the info on that marriage

I think that is his father
