Hi
I'm searching for a John Cristopher Hathaway. His wife is possibly called Polly, but have no surname for her. Their children are:Rhonda
Elizabeth
Margret
Thomas
Cristopher
The 1901 census has him with his parents in Brandon, Co Durham. They are probably in the same locale. I just need conformation that his wife is polly so I can start searching for her maiden name.
Thanks in advance

Thanks Mark. That's what I love about this. You are told one thing by your family and the reality is something completely different.

Polly was a common nickname for Mary.
You have to learn nicknames if you are going to be this for a while as they are the names passed "word of mouth".
