My great great grandmother, Rebecca Foley, died on 30th October 1916 aged 97 having had 11 children and having spent a good part of her life on a canal boat). Her daughter Phoebe was with her when she died.

She was resident at 133 Vicarage Road, Wednesbury when she died.

I am trying to locate where it is most likely that she would have been buried but with little success so far.

Any advice/information/guidance will be very gratefully received.

Please excuse me if I have posted this in the worng forum.

Many thanks
David

Hi David, just out of curiosity, do you have her on the 1901 Census?

No - I'm afraid I don't. I have her in 1891 and again in 1911 but haven't been able to track her down in 1901 yet.

Are you interested in her too?

Best Wishes
David

Yes - the Rifleman is the vessel they were on. Rebecca was married to Edward Foley. Her son Joseph is my great grandfather. He died in a mining accident when my grandfather was 2 years old.

I have quite a lot more information on this line of the family.

What is your connection?

Best Wishes
David

MG - that's the one. Mistranscriptions everywhere. Thank you so much!

When her dayghter Phoebe married, the surname Foley is recorded as Farley!!!

The address on the 1911 census is:

133 Vicarage Road, Wednesbury with

Emma Hale F 62 Widow as head of House.

Many thanks for your support and interest - it is very much appreciated!

Best Wishes
David
