Pass the bucket....

Post by MarkCDodd »

It is bad enough when one member of the family has gastro or a tummy flu.

When it wipes out the whole family at once it is not much fun...

Lucky we have three toilets and lots of buckets!

Stupidest movie ever made.

He lied so much about the treatment of aboriginees I wrote several protest letters to him.

We did enough terrible things to the natives without having to make things up.

Aborigines banned from some pubs? That was at the request of their own elders in an attempt to control the alchoholism.

Native children abandoned on an island that was then attacked by the Japanese?

Many people risked their lives to evacuate ALL children from that island and it was never attacked.

Why have some upper class "lady" when the majority of succesfull Aussie farmers and cattlemen are from convict stock?

The movie showed nothing about the true story and spirit of the Australian stockman or Australians in general.

Apart from Hugh's abbs, there was plenty of othe nice scenery!

I agree Mark the best thing about the film "Australia" was the scenery.

Broken Hill is in the far west of New South Wales, near the South Australian Border, about halfway between Victoria and Queensland.

Visited there a couple of times and I think the red dust would send me mad if I lived there.

Have a look on Google Maps. Its this well organised little town in the middle of nowhere.

P.S. A couple of my good friends are sheep farmers and would rip your arm off and hit you with the wet end if you made references to sheep shagging.
