Hi Carol and Suki Yep that page has loads of Johnsons and a joseph Bate too

So this looks like a marriage for this Daniel White house

So anyone find a bapt for him?
Parents?
I will start to stick him on the tree!

Shepherds Fold is the name of a short little "puddingbag" road which is now home to some high rise 1960's flats. I believe it has also been known as Shepherds Fode in the past, Fold and Fode being alternative names for an animal pound.
Joseph Bate is my Greatgrandfather.
The somewhat romantic name of Shepherds Fold appearing on a family certificate is partly responsible for getting me hooked on all this over 20 years ago long before computers!

thanks Carol it is useful to know a little about an area especially if like me you don't know it at all!

I have entered Daniel on Connections...so would love a bapt for him or a previous census maybe 1851 with parents... :?

William Whitehouse m Ann Taylor 8 Aug 1831 St Thos Dudley

Looks possible to me since Daniel was baptised St Thos Dudley 13 Sep 1835 but born 31 Aug 1832. Rest of the kids seem to be there on the IGI too.

I refuse to go hunting for another Taylor girl. had enough of the last one
