It's time...to face...the music

I love a gold old bit of X factor, although my interest fades when it gets to the live shows.

They tried X-Factor in AUstralia a few years ago and it was a load of ballcocks.
Theya re bringing it back this year with a lot of money being invested in it and some interesting judges so it may do well.

Sorry Mark but there's not that much talent in Australia anyway except for Kylie and Paul Hogan who else is there?
The Bee Gees were from the Isle of Man.
Chips Rafferty!! He was a good actor.

Bee Gees grew up in Australia, learnt their skills in Australia and first became "stars" in Australia.
INXS have had six Top10 UK albums including two No 1.
AC/DC have had eleven Top10 UK albums including four No 1.
Kylie Minogue has had ten Top10 UK albums including five No 1.
A young 17 year old girl from my suburb is No 1 new artist in the USA this week.
There are dozens of other Aussies who have had top 5 albums and singles in the UK.
Some of the highest paid and award winning actors in the world on TV and movies are Australian. i.e Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger (RIP), Geoffrey Rush, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Sam Worthington, Toni Collette.
Some of the worlds best movie directors are Australian i.e Peter Weir, Baz Luhrmann, Bruce Beresford etc etc.
I think our talent pool is currently excellent and in the past has also been pretty good.

You got me all nostalgic....
This is the BEST singer ever.....but he had a disaster with a bad manager when he went overseas so is only really known in Oz. This is my favorite song of all time...
I have been seeing him in concert since 1969.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho4igoIlrro&feature=relatedThis one will make you cry...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGnn7_7Rxwk&feature=relatedThis one is definately a result of drugs...I was at this concert as well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfEgt8AhBgU&feature=relatedAnother favorite is Ross Wilson who is a genius. At every Dodd party since 1971 this has been the song used to get everybody onto the dance floor....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQfAZVsz6KMThe best Anti War song ever...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Urtiyp-G6jYBARNSEY....this bloke is a dead set legend in Australia.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erSJGrpfnOI&p=2B16C349D15CF702&playnext=1&index=8Marcia Hines was voted "Queen Of Pop" about 8 years in a row.....and she is just as good today...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCDTu-6O0MkJohn Farham has also been around since the early 1970's and is HUGE in Australia. ANother brilliant anti-war song.

Well are we all convinced now?
You know i reckon, and listen i have tons of Australian cousins so i speak from experience, well i think ... how i can i put it?
Aussies have deep ingrained inferiour complexes when dealing with "The Mother Country" !!!

There i've said it !! Sorry Marky it has to be said!!
