The Bullock family Edwin & Mary Bullock who lived at Hawthorne House appear to have a grd. daughter Mary Holyoak Bullock
but I cannot identify who were her parents :-
she is shown in 1891 as Niece of Lydia Marian Good ( nee Bullock , daughter of Edwin & Mary) and therefore she must be daughter of a sibling
1891 Census 5 Kensington Garden Terrace Paddington London
Charles P. Good Head 69 Clerk in Holy Orders born Shepherds Bush Middlesex
Lydia M. Good wife 57 born Staffs.
Mary H. Bullock niece 25 born Staffs.
Annie M. Cann servant 34 Parlour Maid born Tendring Essex.
Ellen M. Vince servant 38 Housemaid born Trowbridge Wilts.
Fanny Vince servant 33 Cook born Trowbridge Wilts.
1881 Census Handsworth Ladies College Villa Road Handsworth Staffs.
Mary H. Bullock 16 Scholar born Handsworth Staffs.
1901 Census 2 Mountpellier Terrace Newton Abbott Torquay Devon
Mary H. Bullock lodger 35 Living on own means born Handsworth Staffs.
1911 Census 79 ,77,75 West Cromwell Road Kensington London ( Community School of The Holy Family Convent)
Mary Holyoak Bullock Lodger 45 Theological Student born Handsworth Staffs.
What is strange is she must have been born as a result of liason between a Holyoak and a Bullock but they did not marry and she took both names.
Bullock coonectionis :-

and Holyoak connection is http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections
Most likely explanation is that Mary was daughter of Louisa Bullock who ended up as a Nun and her daughter Mary also ended up in a convent as a Student but I cannot understand how Holyoake family took her in as grd. daughter and then she had no further connection with either family
