Before I add the other children of William Hadley and Ellen Siviter, I want to figure out the second wife of their son Joseph Hadley. She was another Hadley called Fanny Frances Hadley.

Joseph and Fanny Frances' marriage was a second one for both of them. Their first partners kicking the bucket after a few years.

Joseph spent some time in Canada with his first wife and had one child with her in Toronto/York in Ontario.

Fanny Frances Hadley had one child with her first husband.

Joseph and Frances had at least 4 children together.

I know for a fact that Frances Fanny Hadley's father was George Hadley.

I do not know his occupation.

Would people like to have a go at finding the right George Hadley and who France's mother and siblings are.

Does George and his family connect to any of the other 500 plus Hadleys we have on the tree?

I meant to put the census up there..sorry...

That marriage lookup would be crucial as there are eight George Hadley births registered in West Brom from 1851 to 1854.

Also, where is Joseph in the 1871 census? He is with his parents in the 1881 and 1891 census and all census indicate he was born 1869-1870.

His brother Mark was born 2nd Qtr 1870.

His younger sister Mary was born 2nd Qtr 1868.

Both of them are with the parents in the 1871 census but there is no sign of Joseph.

No, Mark died in 1871.

Okay,the witness Alice Hadley is George's sister.

George's father is known as Frank in later census but was baptised Francis.

His mother is Mary Darby.

I will fill in all the details in a little while after I double check Francis' parents.

I can't see a link to any existing Hadleys on BCC.
