Seems these two famiklies are as bad as the Cutler-Hearnes for inter marriages.

A daughter of this couple, Mary Siviter, married an Ephraim Hadley at St Pauls in Stafford in 1890.

On the wedding certificate and birth certificate, Ephraim was born 31st Jan 1860 Ashes, Warley Wigorn, his father is William Hadley, bricklayer.

His mother is Harriet Taylor.

Do we have a Harriet Taylor/William Hadley couple already on BCC?

They were living together for a while before they married.

The first couple of births are out of wedlock but still list Hadley as the father.

I am still having a snoop around before I put them on BCC as some things are a bit odd.

I will compare what I have to what you have (have requested membership to BCC but got a reply that no more admissions are being taken).

Just to let you know where I fit in all of this: -

Ephraim Hadley (b. 1860) and Mary Siviter (b. 1874) are my maternal GG grandparents. One of their daughters (Harriet Hadley) was my maternal grandmother's mother. I am in contact with Ephraim and Mary's grandson (Ray Hadley) who has provided me with a wealth of information which I am now trying to make sense of. He too is confused in areas as the Hadley's were a large complicated family. However, he does have some great photos of the Hadleys (which I do too of course).

I have photos of Hadley/Jordan wedding, as well as the Hadley gatherings at the Hadley's house.

I also have various birth, marriage and death certificates, as well as items such as Ephraim Hadley's (b. 1860) bill for burial!

Let me know if you are looking for anything specific...

Lee

I have the birth certifcate for the first one (Ephraim Hadley, b. 31st Jan 1860 to William Hadley and Harriet Taylor in Oldbury, County of Worcester).

I do not have the second though. This was one of Harriet's (above) children in a previous relationship before she married William Hadley

Ephraim and that line of Hadleys may connect to my line a bit further back.

Mary Siviter is a 1st cousin 3 times removed.

Common ancestors between Lee and myself would be my 3rd Great Grandparents, Mark Siviter and Mary Ann Meek.

Looking at the rest of Lee's tree we may also be connected on the Homer and Tonk families on his father's side.
