Hi everyone,
Though I am a Brummie I hope you will not hold that against me!!. I have strong Black Country connections as my Mom was born in short heath, walsall, place called New Invention and I had lots of relations there.
I am stuck with a query on behalf of my son-in-laws family.
I have Mabel Trueman born Erdington/Aston on 1891c with William Trueman as father and Eliza (Derbyshire)as mother. checked that and confirmed. William is given as being born 1855 in Dudley Port.
Only tie-up I can make at the moment is to William and Ann Maria TRUMANS born 23/12/1853 christened 1857. Family search. I have checked Free BMD and the Tromans on the Tribal pages of your site. the only 1871c I can find is a William Tromans age 13 living with William and Elizabeth in Rowley Regis.
Has anyone any idea on how to proceed short of travelling to Rowley Regis or looking for Rowley Regis records stored at Dudley.
Hopefully
Mo.

Thanks folks for the welcome and the information, Yes I do have the marriage of Mabel to Benjamin Darwin, age of bridge given as 22 on 3/08/1912 father given as William Trueman Provision Merchant so I know that the 1891 census ties up also the 1881 but it is getting proof of William to William and Ann Maria Trumans
Forgive me if I do not get back right away later on but my husband wants feeding. Cannot get him to get his priorities right!!!
regards
mo.

Mabel appears to be living with older sister Lily in 1911. Lily has her own shop.
William appears to be a milkman?? if it's the right one

That 1911 looks like it's Benjamin Darwin not Dawson, what do you think RF?

witness to the wedding were Alfred Francis Jones and Hilda Gladys Salt which do not tie up withone else in the family.
Yes it is the correct one for 1911 I managed to find Mabel and Lily bu not William and I have his date of death as 1913 so he should be around somewhere! thanks for replies

p.s yes I guessed Tilly to be Lillian. I gathered it would be Eliza Derbyshire as there was a Comfort Derbyshire on the 1881c down as sister in law and also another relative as Aunt.
