Until I can easily surmount the enigma of my American ancestors I've decided to concentrate on some of my more recent ancestors:

In particular I'm after detailed information on my Great Granddad 'George Henry Blacklee', he was chairman of a cigar company called Morris and Morris and reputedly supplied cigars to Churchill during WW2, I was quickly searching on the internet and that supposition is shared by some others (complete strangers to myself), it's also said there were photos of him with Churchill, Edward VIII and George VI - it'd be great to find some detailed information on his life, and supposing what is said is true I shouldn't imagine it'd be that difficult? If photos did exist they'd be in the public domain? Any advice would be appreciated.

Looking at local newspapers to the Morris factory might be a place to start as if he was photographed with Churchill it would have probably made the local papers.

The right Local archive would have them -- they may also be able to pin point possible dates when Churchill visited the area which might help to narrow down the search
